Any good way to get Crossfigure Resource Kit 8 working with 8.1?

To sum up:

• Duplicate ‘FID_Genesis8Female.dsf’ or ‘FID_Genesis8Male.dsf’, renaming it ‘FID_Genesis8_1Female.dsf’ or 'FID_Genesis8_1Male.dsf'
• Open the newly created file to replace every mention of 'FID_Genesis8' by 'FID_Genesis8_1' and save these changes.
