SnowCat Commercial

Winter travel is a pain, unless you have the right gear. So gear up and head to the nearest Pole, I favor the north pole but it might be a Santa thing. Any unruly terrain is a perfect setting for the SnowCat.

  • I am still asking myself what I am going to do with this - slow-mo James Bond chases, SnowCat and SnowMouse  antics? It is lodged in my cart, though.

I immediately saw myself using it in Mars and Lunar scenes!  I will have to play with some custom materials but am excited to give it a go!

Like any Bond chase scene even a slow one!

The textures are pretty straight forward

I think with just changing the snowed up versions base color default setting from white to mars red you might be half way there as the white snow would look like red dust.

Great, I wasn't even considering it until you suggested this, now I can't stop thinking about it. laugh

I immediately thought of you (cat) in the snow.

Not sure I'd want to get in a cat fight with it.

Ah, I see a "bad idea" taking shape. Now I must buy it and render two cats in a fight - you being one of them, of course.

Be sure to post something here if you do get it! I'm curious to see what you come up with. I'm also very eager to get going on my idea for it, and will post something here when finished.

    Purchased!
I have my own thread where I post renders of Richard getting into various predicaments, often with Jack. I will post my results there, but I can also put it here. Don't worry. Richard always comes out alive. I have to have him ready and willing to take on another adventure, whenever inspiration comes to me. Luckily for me, he is a very good sport about being the subject (star) of such renders.

I have some PA beta testing to work on, before I can jump into a Richard vs. SnowCat render, though...if I can discipline myself.

Barbult, That was a wonderful distraction from all the work I have waiting for me. I realized I was really avoiding that work when I hit around page 20 of your link.

I love to see comments like this. Richard Haseltine has a very colorful life in my imagination. The SnowCat render is nearly ready.

    Neighborhood Watch-Cat

Richard Haseltine, self-appointed neighborhood watch-cat, has vowed to never let a big cat threaten the neighborhood. Lions, tigers, jaguars, leopards - he's ready to take them all on. And so far, nary a one has dared to enter his territory. But then, he hears a loud roar in the distance. He dons his snowsuit, mittens, boots and earmuffs to go out into the snow and check. Could a big cat be on the prowl? Richard prepares his ammunition as the biggest cat of them all - the SnowCat - rounds the corner and heads straight for him! Richard waits for it to get within striking range and lobs the first volley. Oh no, it has already swallowed a neighbor man, and he is flailing his arm and screaming for Richard's help to escape - isn't he??

As you may have seen in my other thread, Richard considers himself to be an excellent marksman. Actually, Richard considers himself to be excellent at almost everything and has demonstrated those skills in his own way. "I'm an excellent..." has become "a thing" in these stories.

Edit: Or course I am referring to the Richard of my imagination, not the "real" Richard. Although, here in the forum, he has proven that the "real" Richard is also excellent at everything. He seems to have in depth knowledge about anything (Daz related or not) that anyone mentions.

Richard's SnowCat encounter is continued over here. I don't want to SPAM the forum with duplicate renders too many times.

OKAY, not what I was thinking of doing first, but this is SOMETHING anyway.  Seems legit.  :)

Thanks! I have several other ideas - just waiting for some free time to get to them. The Joy is in The Work

[Edit - Double Post] FWIW - the textures are easy enough to load in Photoshop and modify, but I did a double render composite with one of those renders having the handles and such opacity set to zero.  There is something about ANTFARM products, I love them as-is, but almost always get a flood of my own ideas for customization  too.

I customized "my" Snowcat, too. I wanted blue (not rescue vehicle) with snow. It only came with red that had snow.
