Daz 2025 Alpha

Hi everyone,
Could any of you kind folks tell me how to make Daz 2025 Alpha my default program?

I recently upgraded to an RTX 5050, which meant I could no longer use 4.24. The trouble is, whenever I click on a  file, it still opens in 4.24 instead of 2025.

I’ve been working with a lovely lady from Daz Support, but so far nothing has worked for me. At the moment, I’m stuck creating in 4.24 and then rendering in 2025, which feels like a clumsy workaround.

If anyone has figured out how to set 2025 Alpha as the default, I’d be grateful for your advice.

    i dont think you are stuck doing that. Even if you cant change default program, you can open your scene file at any point in the alpha and work on it, not just during render time.

    i havent attempted this, but did you try the obvious? right click on scene file and go to 'Show more options' and change 'open with'

    The installers deliberately don't make the non-general release versions the defaults for files. I don't think they can stop you from doing it yourself, though, using lilweep's instructions.

    That idea doesn't present itself...
