Which operating system, what are your syystem specs, and what security software are you using?
win 10 64bit, 16gb memory laptop. corei5, windows 'security'.
already redownloaded install manager still no go. if a file is small enough it might install, but other 'regular' sized files appear to give installer time to think, and the install stops. for complete specs check out hp probook 6460b.
might have to delete all files currently in the installer download DIR, but really don't want to do that!!
So Install Manager itself is installed (I thought you meant it ws failing to do that) but is failing to install content? How much free disc space do you have on the destination drive?
Well there’s your problem right there!
Some times the answer is simple; I never would have thought about that. the HD is 320GB – reality 300GB.
Only have 1.05 GB left - reality zero.
Going to have to do some thinking. current(full) laptop can go up 3.2 GHz but can only go up to 3.1 openGl. Newer laptop can go up to OpenGL 4.4 [1TB HD], but has no ‘boost’ and is at 2 GHz. Both can not be upgraded to win 11 [win10 reached End Of Life a month ago]
Thank you; for pointing out the obvious. Which was not obvious to me.
