Hairstyle - pinup

I think I've posted a million years agop on this, and just tried the other day. maybe it wasn't approved. This time with reference... (see image)

Anyway, some wavy styles of yesteryear would be a fantastic addition, especially in light of the newer technical advancements in hair

Toyen and ChevyBabe have many retro-inspired hairs that might suit your needs.

This one by AprilYSH seems close enough:

  • Do vendors even read this thread?  I've seen the hair on DAZ3D, and Renderhub, and Renderosity. There are some 1930's (e.g. finger waves) I have seen the Deeta versions and Yvette - the technology on those is dated. What with the strand-based really being the closest to reality.  I don't think the Wavy Bob or the Vintage Curl quite capture it. I have the Lanah Hair. It looks off to me... Taht is, I don't think it comes across as matural looking. There are some mid-late 1960s flip styles with hairbands. There's a mid-1940 victory curl with Nicolette Hair that carries off well.  Juneau Hair starts with the wave on the bang, and then tuns kind of long.. It also shares the same qualities with Lanah hair. It's i dunno, maybe frizzy or something. Old Hollywood is nice hair, but not quite the style. The closest one I've seen to nailing the style is Rita Hollywood.   I guess where I was going with this is...

There are a zillion updos and bobs, and messy this or that, but very few in this time period that cary it off well. There is certainly room for more. Lots of room.

  • And for the record... close enough doesn't cut it. I've been all over the store and to the other 2 popular stores. There isn't anything close. A flipped front with wavy curls cascading to just past the shoulder or slightly lower. Ideally utilizing the latest techniques to lend a solid bit of realism
