manual intalls - am i doing it wrong?

Not really a new user here - I've been doing this for years, but now i'm beginning to wonder.  When I want to manually install content (such as  downloaded Poser  models) I  use the following directory tree: Local Disk (C:) / DAZ 3D/Applications/Data/DAZ3D/My DAZ3D Library/

this always seems to work, and I can find  my new content in DAZ3D without issue.

However,

I recenrly started to run classes for DS newbies, but after instaling DAZ3D and Install Manager, they cannot see a DAZ 3D folder ubder Local  Disk (C:).

is my DAZ 3D installing differently because I am on DAZ+, or because I use Windows 10 , or did I install everything wrong in the first place?  My way of adding non-0DAZ content is very easy and it works - but why cant my students do this?  I have seen screenshots of their directory trees, and it looks very different.

That directory is not the default one used by DIM and DS. I think it was the one DazCentral used though, so that might be where you got it from if you used that to install DS originally.

The default install directory DIM and DS use is C:\Users\Public\Documents\My DAZ 3D Library.
