Daz Little Big Cat 2

The Daz Housecat is the same Millennium Cat that basically dates from the early poser era with a bit of spit and polish in the form of D-force air. It's still basically the same ancient figure that was release like 20+ years ago. 

I'd like to suggest someone use the Daz Big Cat 2 to make an updated housecat as a series of morphs and skins.

    Big Cat 2 is from 2013, and looks like it. I'd rather see a whole new cat (or a bundle of cats like AM's rabbits), personally.

    There's been babble of an AM housecat for quite some time, I don't remember if he's played into it at all or hinted at it himself. His existing Felidae line covers many of the models of Daz Big Cat 2, and at a higher level of quality.

    I bet AM's workinng on it, but cats are diffucult like dogs!

     There were some cat-related comments when the rabbit came out (I think it was on the rabbit thread), and I was pretty sure AM had responded, but I couldn't find them when I went back to look a while ago. Not sure if  they were removed because off-topic or because it was disadvantageous to some upcoming release. (Or I'm just remembering them in the wrong place.) That was ages ago, though.

    Would be an absolute slam dunk for sales, but I imagine to do it up properly with all the breeds would not be a fast project.

    But yeah, I'd much rather have AM cats than Daz cats.

    The reason I'd go for Daz cat over it would be because actual support from more than AM.

    Totally understand that reasoning. It was why I initially bought the Daz Big Cat over AM's lion... and then realized the poor thing just looked kind of raggedy and dated and wound up getting AM's lion anyway. Narrower support, but what's the point of lots of support if I don't much care for the product in the first place? 

    I wonder if maybe a bone minion could be made to apply daz cat poses to an AM cat?

    there definitely is a niche spot open for a good in D|S retargeting script between similar figures with different joint names

    Bipedal, quadrupeds etc

    bipeds are catered for in Unreal Engine (humanoid), iClone 3DX and a few other programs 

    quadrupeds I have yet to find a good solution other than painful renaming in BVHacker

    I haven't used them in a long time, but I recall Maya and 3DS Max having good retargeting tools for quadrupeds.
