Can I make a preset that removes a shader channel?

I already made a material preset that adds a shader channel (by happy accident). I'm just trying to make an "undo" preset to remove the channel that was added.

Ya. I made a material preset that turns on a dormant IRay channel and sets some of the values. It so happens that if you apply this same preset to a 3Delight surface, the preset will add the IRay property channel to the 3Delight surface, and set the values as well. I did not know that would happen, but I like that it does happen - it is what I want. And so there you go. The preset adds a channel.

But now, can another preset be made that can remove the channel again?

Here is why I want this kind of an "undo" preset:

When the first preset adds the IRay property channel to the 3Deliight surface, the surface gets darker in the OpenGL view. I don't mind this much since the IRay render will look fine to me.  But, I tried to make a an "undo" preset to accommodate my changing my mind and wanting to revert to prior settings. The best I could do was make a preset that sets the added IRay property channel's values to defaults and the channel weight to zero, making it domrant. Throuble is, even though dormant, it still produces the darker surface in OpenGL. So the "undo" is not "clean" - it has this residue effect of darker OpenGL appearance.

The channel in question here is the Metal Flakes. I'm using it to make image-mapped tear tracks on the face surface. Works fine to me. Even works fine to me on 3Delight face surfaces, except for the OpenGL face darkness.

So if I offer free tear track presets to others, I'd want to also offer a nice, clean undo preset that even works on 3Delight faces. Just wondering if it even possible.

The shader preset is applying a different shader (made in Shader Mixer?) but that doesn't mean the channels witll do anything in 3Delight., unless the shader was written with them in its 3Delight code.
