clearing hard drive and registry

davesodaveso Posts: 7,767

I want to totally uninstall and erase everything on my D data drive, as well as my C operating system drive... The C drive down to the Windows 11 installation but end with a totally clean registry. No residual stuff ro mess things up in the registry.
What's the best way to do this?  Want to start over clean is the goal.

Are you all backed up? Because the most effective way to do that is to reformat your hard drives and re-install Win 11 from there.

Alternately, it seems you can factory reset Win 11.

Back to factory sounds good to me. I'm in process of saving things now. A slow process. Not doing actual backup, just copying and then deleting.
