How to safely install Daz 2025 alpha side-by-side with Latest Release?
Hi. A friend recently purchased a 5090 gpu and discovered that they'll need Daz 2025 to render with it. I've been browsing the forums and I've seen that some people are using a hybrid approch where they do their work in Daz 4.24 and then render the scene in 2025 alpha. What's the easiest way to install these two versions side-by-side? They're a little uncomfortable with the Daz technicals, and since I'm helping them remotely, the more you can dumb it down, the better. Thank you for your time.

Install the DS 2025 Alpha with Daz Install Manager (DIM). (Be sure"Daz Studio 2025 (6.X)" is selected in the Downlod Filters on the Ready to Download tab You might also need to select the Public Build filter.) DIM will install it into a separate folder. It will not overwrite anything in your DS4 General Release version, or any installed DS4 Beta release. The Alpha is independent. It does not share preferences or configuration with other releases. It can share the same Content Libraries, but to do so, you will need to map your Content Libraries to the Alpha in the Content Directory Manager, for the Alpha to see them. You don't need to reinstall your products.
Be aware that most PA plugins and scripts don't work in the DS 2025 Alpha.
Thank you Barbult. I think that's all we need.
