Daz crashes using Riversoft Art's clothing converters

I've tried converting various generations of clothing today, just one piece of clothing per try, and every time DAZ crashes. Has anybody else had this problem? How did you work around it?

    Users will need more specific information in order to help you.

    1. What version of Daz Studio are you running? Most script products in the store are written for DS4 and are not yet compatible with DS6 Alpha version.
    2. There is more than one Riversoft Art clothing converter product. What is the name of the clothing converter product you are using? Post a link to the exact product in the Daz Store.
    3. Give a specific example of a clothing item that causes the crash and what Genesis generation you are converting from and to, so someone can try to replicate your issue.
    4. Post in the product's commercial thread if you need help from Riversoft Art.
  • Oops, sorry.

    It's Daz Studio 4.24.0.3 (64-bit).

    I tried https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-sunny-days-2-for-genesis-8-females ; and https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-riviera-chic-for-genesis-8-and-81-females, each piece separately, on Genesis 8 to 9  https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-clothing-converter-from-genesis-8-to-genesis-9 ;

    and  something from the other store (I'm not allowed to post the link, right?) on Victoria 4 to Genesis 8 Female. https://www.daz3d.com/rssy-clothing-converter-from-victoria-4-to-genesis-8-female

    Is there a commercial thread for the 4 to 8? I couldn't find it.

    Thanks for the guidance.

    I don't own either the converter from Genesis 8 to 9 or the converter from V4 to G8F. I only own the converter from G3F to G8F, so I can't try to reproduce the error you are having with your two converter products. Maybe someone else can.
    Here is the commercial thread for the converter from V4 to G8.

    Some of your links in the message above do not work. It is because of a gotcha in the Daz forum. If you paste in a URL and do not hit Enter afterwards, the forum tacks on a semicolon at the end of the URL (which is coded as %C2%A0 at the end of the URL). You can avoid that problem by hitting Enter or by using the link icon to paste the URL in as a link in your pasted URL text.

    You are not allowed to post links to products in other stores, unless someone specifically asks for it, according to my understanding. If RiverSoft Art needs the product to reproduce your problem, and he asks for it, I believe that you would then be allowed to link it.

    Just for good measure, I tried the G3F to G8F converter I own in DS 4.24.03 to be sure it is still working. (I haven't used it lately.) Yes, that product still works fine for me.

    Does your Daz log file show any errors right before the crash? (Help/Troubleshooting/ViewLog File...)

    G8 in the converted pants.

  • Most of the time there's nothing. I got this once:

    2025-10-07 21:38:46.465 [WARNING] :: \src\sdksource\general\dzscript.cpp(1192): Unhandled error while executing script.
    2025-10-07 21:38:46.465 [WARNING] :: QScriptEngine::popContext() doesn't match with pushContext()

    Which means nothing to me.

    I couldn't reproduce the issue either with the scripts you mentioned. Better ask RiverSoftArt by posting the issue in the commercial thread that barbult provided.

    Yes. The log file error really isn't enough to give us users a good clue. RiverSoftArt needs to look at it.

  • Thanks, I'll pop over there.
