New to 3D Modeling – How Do I Measure Torso and Leg Length?
Hello, I’m new to 3D modeling and using Measure Metric.
I’d like to measure torso and leg length, but I’m not sure where to start. I’ve seen different definitions online—for example, the torso measured from the C7 vertebra to the iliac crest, or from the shoulder to the crotch; and the leg measured from the crotch to the ankle/heel, or from the ASIS to the ankle/heel. For professionals, hobbyists, or anyone experienced—how would you recommend measuring these?

You can do it with measurement wearables in Measure Metrics. Thigh to Floor should be full Leg Length. CB Neck to Floor minus Thigh to Floor should be Torso Length.
And you also can create measurement wearables as needed yourself.
Thank you very much for your help. I am so grateful.
Also new, so I feel your pain...What I did, prior to getting measure metrics was created a primative cube that was 1 ft in size with 12 divisions... I then colored it a light color (surface tab) and made another... stacked it on top of the first.... then kept stacking until I had 7 of them stacked... easy ruler for measuring height.... I saved it as a preset tool... you could just as easily make it smaller than 1 square foot, that's just what I did... I didn't use for measuing limb lengths, but the concept would be the same.
