Prohibit the reordering of ContentDirectoryManager.dsx

In the studio4 folder of DAZ, there is a file named ContentDirectoryManager.dsx. I wrote down some of my frequently used model paths in the order that I like. When I opened DAZ, although all the files of these paths had been loaded, they were re-arranged. How can we prevent it from reordering?

You can move them inside Daz Studio.

Why they don't stick in ContentDirectoryManager.dsx I don't know.

ContentDirectoryManager.dsx is used for saving Content Sets rather than orders of Content Directories.

Orders of Content Directories are stored in Windows Registry > HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DAZ\Studio4

You can define directories as well as their order in F2 ( DS > Edit > Preferences...) > Content tab > Content Directory Manager

Thank you for your reply. My current concern is that I have a large number of models, approximately over 100, that need to be loaded. I have specific requirements for their arrangement in the model library to avoid difficulties when I search for them. I'm aware of the method you mentioned for adjusting the order, but it's just too cumbersome. Since I also need to switch to another project from time to time, and that project might require another 100 or so models, constantly loading models and adjusting their order would drive me crazy.

Frankly, I don't quite understand what you want now... You want to set up the the folders' order model by model rather than by Content Directories ? Any example or screenshot ?

My model library is managed based on tags rather than folder paths. I will assign about ten tags to each model's promotional image. Later, I will use other software to filter the tags to find the storage path of the model I need.

I'm sorry... I'm quite familiar with how tags work but how could you see the tagged assets in a certain order in Daz Studio ?

Sorry, I didn't get to the main point. What I mean is that after I find the model I want, I will arrange their paths in the order I need. For example, first is the scene, then the clothes, and then the character. When I import this path into the dsx file, if it can be arranged in this order, I will easily find what I need. I even added some fake paths to the list of folder paths. The final folder names of these fake videos are some symbols or prompts to remind me what the following folders are about. If my plan goes smoothly and the folder path order is not disrupted, the final effect should be like this. First are several scene models, then an empty path to remind me that the next ones are character models. Then the next few are character models. Then another empty path to remind me that the next ones are clothes models. The following few are indeed clothes models, and so on.

Ah... so you mainly do these in Content Library ~~ I myself never go for this way 'cause I'm a heavy Smart Content user.

Unfortunately that DSX file helps nothing with what you want. I'm afraid you have to manually customize the paths / folders in Content Library.
