looking for sweater or shirt tied around the waist, preferably for G8M, but I'll try to work with anything that willl autofit or dforce reasonably well. Is there anything like this in the shop? Shirt, sweater, hoodie, anything tied around the waist like pic related.

I haven't found any for G8M but there's some for female figures that may autofit ok:

Was just about to post all of what Silas just posted so let me add these two as well:
dForce Grunge Fashion Outfit for Genesis 9 | Daz 3D
Street Fashion dForce outfit for G8F 3D Figure Assets fefecoolyellow
With Cross figure,Converting, or Auto-fit you should be all set.
Also if you Choose Street Fashion have a look at this too for more texture options...
Downtown for Street Fashion dForce outfit for Genesis 8 Female(s) 3D Figure Assets ShanasSoulmate
That first one by Luthbellina looks very nice, and its on sale! Funny enough I already own that 3rd one and didn't even realize it. Anyway, thanks for finding those. That gives me something I already own to experiment with and I might buy the Riot Girl outfit anyway.
ah, thanks, those are nice too. I have lots of options now.
There is a morph in this addon for Everyday 2 for G8F to have it around the hip. I didn't try it on G8M (it does require the G8F version of Everyday 2 as far as I can tell) but you get access to all textures for Everyday 2 with it.

Nice Find Elor! I have that set and didn't know it had that morph. I will need to add some TAGS to those clothes to make them easier to find when I'm looking for a "Tied Flannel" or "Tied Sweater"
Also Frank, with so few options for this style I also highly recommend making a "Mirrored" version of them, to add just a few more options. (Riversoft Mirror Geometry very handy for that if you don't want to do it manually)
Nice tips, everyone.
I made a render to show how the G8F shirt on the hip fit on G8M when using the Cross-Figure Ressource Kit: Sunset at the beach
I didn't test with autofit because I have the Cross-Figure Ressource Kit and it has the advantage of not requiring to save the whole outfit to avoid getting very big scene file due to the autofited geometry being saved in the scene file. Both shirts required simulation to drape around the pants, then I applied textures from the G8M version of Everyday 2 on the shirt worn by Michael 8.1
@Elor thanks for the valiant effort, its much appreciated, but still too high on the waist unfortunately. It should be a "hiphugger" style to look right on a male. I also tried with dforce Urban casual outfit for G8F, and I had similar results to yours. Unparenting/un-fitting and moving in place manually provided somewhat acceptable results, but its not really practical since its only good for a standing pose. See pics attached.
I see a few of the other recommendations may fit lower on the hips by default, so I am going to try to buy one of those. Maybe the first one by fefecoolyellow mentioned above by mrpenguin76: https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-grunge-fashion-outfit-for-genesis-9 That one looks promising. Hopefully it goes on sale soon and I can give it a whirl.
There is also this one from Renderosity: https://www.renderosity.com/marketplace/products/148268/street-fashion-dforce-outfit-for-g8f. It's of course for g8f, but I've gotten it to autofit to g8m well enough. And it helps that it's dforce ready. It might not be the best showcase, but it's on the guy in orange.
If you've found a style that you like but the problem is that it's positioned too high, you could use Fit Control (which IIRC is a Zev0 line of products) to add extra morphs to reposition the shirt lower
I never wear mine tied around my waist, always slung from the hips and I am a girl, so no idea why they are all so high
The Riot Girl shirt works quite well on G8M. As mentioned previously, Fit Control will give more usable morphs to fiddle with.
Ok, this is good to know! Something else to add to my wishlist.
I suppose for women its a matter of styling choice, with narrower waist to hip ratio you can wear it either way, high on waist, or low on hips, but for us guys we have no choice, everything slides down to our hips whether we like it or not..
For a creator/PA it would seem to make sense to put it lower on the hips to increase sales so it can be used for both female and male characters. But maybe for dforce it is easier to have it sit higher on the female character.
Yes, it does. I almost bought that a couple days ago when it was on sale, but I didn't have a render on G8M to see how it fit, so I passed on it. Thanks!
