Daz Studio suddenly started crashing very frequently

Hi all, I've been going through a very unpleasant situation for the past few days. I've been using Daz for two years and I've never experienced anything like this before and even though I didn't make any changes in Studio, it suddenly started crashing very frequently. This happens suddenly sometimes when loading a scene, sometimes a few seconds after pressing the iray preview in viewport, and sometimes when navigating in the viewport. There is no specific timing.

The thing I suspect most is that, as far as I can remember, this started happening after an automatic Windows update. There was a part in the update that mentioned vc++, maybe that's a clue, I don't know.

But I updated my drivers, updated my BIOS, removed those latest Windows updates, removed all the vc++ components and install them again, but it still didn't fix the problem.

I'm leaving a few crash reports and log files here that might be useful to you in helping me.

I hope someone can help me about this. Thank you very much.

For the cases of DS crash, DS log almost helps nothing. You just need to provide dump files.

Three crashdump files tell three different reasons of crash, QtCore.dll failure, DzCore.dll failure and bad header of DazStudio.exe ... First to confirm:

    1) You tested with DS version 4.15 ?

    2) What do you exactly mean by "...install them again" ?  You installed what ?  Did you re-install DS?

    3) Have you tried testing with latest DS Public Build ?

    Hey thanks for your answer.

Firstly, regarding the dumps, I should note that I also get crashes mentioning libneuray.dll.

    1) Yeah I tested it with V4.15. I've been using only this version for a long time, and until a few days ago, there were absolutely no problems.

    2) No, I didn't reinstall Daz Studio, I meant I deleted and reinstalled the VC++ files.

    3) No, I haven't tried it with the latest build. Frankly, I'm afraid to delete and reinstall Daz Studio or update to a newer version because I have a huge archive and many scenes ready to render. I'm afraid that if I do that, my scenes might get corrupted or something might get broken.

For example, I heard that the functioning of ghost lights changed after 4.15, and I have used ghost lights in all the scenes I have created so far. So I don't want to update the Studio to a newer version and have to relight all these scenes, as it would take me weeks.

Info. of libneuray.dll is just a warning rather than an exception or error.... So, I don't think the issue relates to Nvidia card or driver.  Then some suggestion for your ref.:

    1) First try re-installing your DS 4.15 General Release x64 version for your Win10 x64. It'll re-install required VC++ package... see if that'll make it work.

    2) Installing the latest DS Public Build doesn't mean you have to delete DS 4.15. Public Build is a Beta version which'll be installed to its dedicated folder, it'll impact nothing to your DS 4.15.  You just keep them both. You run Public Build so as to test this case of issue to see if all DS versions fail you. Besides, I've been using DS since 4.10, then to latest 4.24 nowadays. I'm confident in telling you that latest DS version won't make your Scene files corrupted or broken.

    3) As for the ghost light, there's only a new and better way since 4.21 to make it rather than fail it. Check it in here: https://www.daz3d.com/forums/discussion/609556/creating-a-ghost-light-daz-studio-4-21-1-26#latest ;  But you still can make them with 4.15 as you wish. It's always up to your choice.
