How to automatically create several instance of an object?

Hi! I am using the Pro Pyro - Fire and Flame VDBs (https://www.daz3d.com/pro-pyro--fire-and-flame-vdbs) and I would like to create automatically several instance of the same flame, in order to create instantly a huge fire in my scene. From what I could understand, I know that it is possible to do that to create forests, so I guess it should be possible for fires too, but I had never tried yet. Could you tell me how I can do that, please?

Thank you in advance!

Select your item in the Scene pane.

On the main toolbar click "Create"

Select "New Node Instance" for 1 instance, or "New Node Instances" and in the menu tell it how many instances you want.

You'll need to position the instances yourself though.

This just spawns in however many instances you chose in a grid like pattern.

Ah, ok, thank you very much! I also saw that there are some assets to do that, especially these ones:

    UltraScatter2 (https://www.daz3d.com/ultrascatter2--advanced-instancing-for-daz-studio)

    - UltraScatterPro (https://www.daz3d.com/ultrascatterpro)

Do you know if it's worth to buy one of them? Which one is the best? I noticed that UltraScatter2 i more recent than UltraScatterPro, but its full price is cheaper (30$ rather than 40$), so I wonder if it really better...

    Thank you in advance!

They each have features the other doesn't have. Both can do surface and volume scatters. Only UltraScatterPro can do matrix scatters. UltraScatterPro is a script. UltraScenery2 is a plugin, so it is much faster and has a more interactive user interface and viewport display. If you don't need matrix scatter, get UltraScatter2.

Ah, ok, thank you very much! If I understand well, the matrix scatter is used to create a defined grid, and automatically position the instances on this grid, is it that? Has UltraScatter2 any tool to position automatically the instances where we want?

    Thank you in advance!

You must tell it which object you want the scatter on.

So you could e.g. create a plane and use that to distribute your object, and just hide it so it don't show up in render.
