can I lock HDRI background?

I am using ultraHD IRay "the Pitch" HDRI. It's just an open grass field. I understand I can change the orientation to adjust the light, but the background seems to move with the light. What if I like my background the way it is behind my figure, but I need to just move the light? Is there a way to lock the background so I can adust the light and keep the background the way it is?

Thanks

No, but you could render only the HDRI dome and then load that render as a backdrop in the Environment pane (NOT the Environment node or the Environment section of Render Settings). Then, with that backdrop loaded, render the real scene with the HDRI rotated to get the light you want. You can turn the dome off for that render. Be aware that by making the light come from a different angle than in the rendered backdrop, the shadows from your scene objects won't match the angle of the shadows in the backdrop.
