OT: Marvelous Designer for Linux

I thought it'd be colder when Hell froze over, but I got an email today saying that Marvelous Designer for Linux will be released on September 30th. For Rocky/RHEL 9, which is kind of a bummer, but it can probably be beaten into submission to work on other distros.

Great news, overall.

    TheMysteryIsThePoint,

I couldn't believe it until I saw the news here - https://www.marvelousdesigner.com/discover/news/view/221 - way towards the bottom of that page. The blurb says "for seamless integration into production pipelines." Makes me wonder what other pipeline software could they be referring to, presumably Linux-native ones.

Hope I can run MD smoothly in Pop!_OS someday. laugh

    Cheers!

Several 3D suites do have Linux versions, I assume that is what they mean.

Now, Daz just needs to join the club.

That must mean Windows is becoming more of a headache than they want to deal with. The LINUX video drivers must be totally mature now too.

  • One reason why I stay with Windows is Daz. Blender works already great in Linux.
