Cascadeur to Daz Studio 4.24

Hello,

I’ve created an animation in Cascadur, but after exporting it, I noticed several issues in the animation that I haven’t been able to solve despite many attempts.

Here are the details:

  • I’m exporting using the Command → Export to Daz option.

  • The exported FBX shows the same issues even before importing into Daz, when tested in other 3D applications.

  • I have tested with different Genesis versions (8, 8.1, and 9) but the problem still remains.

  • The same animation exported as FBX for non-Daz models works perfectly fine without any issues.

  • I tried both methods: using the official Cascadur script, and also manually disabling character Limitations and Locks, but neither solved the problem.

Could you please advise on what might be causing this issue, or suggest a proper workflow to avoid these problems?

Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm just learning Cascadeur as well, so I might not be real helpful.

I just tried a quick animation on a G9 character. I exported the character from DAZ via fbx (using the settings/procedures in the video I linked below), imported and rigged in Cascadeur, created the animation, exported using "export to DAZ", selected "Export selected frames with mesh" (because I didn't have a zero pose in the animation), imported the FBX into DS using the settings described in this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cs_dL6L_OaA) at about 6:40. Everything worked perfectly.

This might not be much help since it all worked properly for me, but maybe there is something useful. I'm using Cascadeur Pro version 2025.3. In the video linked above, it states that the "Export to DAZ" only works in the pro version of Cascaduer. I've seen posts either, here or maybe elsewhere on the internet, that state you don't need the pro version to use the DAZ export, so I'm not sure if that's still true or not, since the video is 2 years old.
