Change icon image

How do I change the icon image for a custom character without resaving the figure?  I spent a couple of hours getting the character just right, with many tweaked morphs but I forgot to position the camera where I wanted it before I saved the sub-scene and the figure (actor).  So both have a far way shot of the character as the duf icon in the typical texture shaded render.  I want a close up head shot in nvidia iray as the icon.  Is there a way to simple change out the image to an existing render I have rather than the crappy default one (noted it was my bad for the position of the scene when I save it)?

Go to where you have saved character. Together with the duf file there should be 2 PNG files, one for the icon and one for the tip (an upscaled version of the icon.

You can add new images as you like, just keeping the same file names. For Daz Studio to catch it you can either restart or click refresh.

Technically, I'd say the icon .png file is a downscaled version of the .tip.png file.
The automatically created icon and tip images are 91 x 91 pixels for the icon and 256 x 256 pixels for the tip.
But if for some reason you want a larger tip image, you can use a 1024 x 1024 or bigger file, the logical limit being the user's screen resolution.

    Have a nice day!
