Genesis 9 – “Formula target property not found” error when loading

Hello everyone,

Whenever I load Genesis 9, I get multiple warnings like:

Missing Files:

/Presets/Scenes/Gillian Anderson/Gillian Anderson2.duf

I have never created such files myself. At some point I installed a free character (I don’t remember exactly when), so maybe that’s the cause.

Has anyone else experienced this issue? Could it be related to missing morphs or incorrectly packaged free content? Any advice on how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance!

  • I would imagine that was down to the free character, yes - check the zip and you will probably find it included one or more files that went into /data/daz 3d/Genessi 9/Base/Morphs/ and those are probably the sopurce of the error.

After installing the G9 Developer version, I don’t get any errors at all. Since my Data folder is a mess(670gb), I couldn’t find the problematic .dsf file. In the log, the error appears after the mouth morph is loaded.

  • If reinstalling the bsae figure (assuming that is what you mean by the Gensis 9 Developer version, and that you mean install rather than load into DS) then that sounds as if something had modified one of the core files and reinstalling restored the original.

I have the same issue but I can not find what character it is, I wish I could find the Gillian Anderson character it was so I can fix the issue

    "/Presets/Scenes/Gillian Anderson/Gillian Anderson2.duf"

Having that DUF file wont fix the broken file, it will just hide the missing file message.

Only thing I know of that causes DS to generate a missing DUF/DSF file message when loading a character is bad "parent" data in a DSF file.

If the parent doesn't match the base figure DS is loading then that file does not get loaded, and if the "parent" doesn't exist then you get a missing file message.

You will need to check your log file to find which is the broken file.
