How to add holes to clothes

I used this

https://www.daz3d.com/lalis-low-waist-tights-for-genesis-81-female

I want to add a damaged effect to my tights. I've seen some tutorials that say to use the cutout opacity property in the surface and add a texture, but I can't find this attribute (there are only three, but they are all on the seams, not the main body of the tights). Also, these tights don't seem to have a complete shape cutout texture, only a repeated combination of patterns. The material maps are all squares, and I can't see the shape of the clothes. What should I do?

you need to know the UV layout of the tights and use the image editor option for all the tiled textures (its a choice under the texture options along with browsing for textures and LIE layered image ediitor)

you can see the UV view by choosing it in the viewport options with surfaces selected with the surface tool

this will give you a rough idea of where you want your cutout opacity holes to be, remember you can also offset them horizontally and vertically and tile them separately with the image editor option

It is more difficult than such.

Lali uses their own shader, but the problematic part is that the nylon textures is using a tiled image, so if you are using an LIE to add some rips, it will be tiled as well.

one can always create a new opacity map with tiled images outside of DAZ (Photoshop, Gimp) and add the holes there, again you need an idea of the UV layout

I see now it is tights with an opacity map, missed the link when I posted before

I think it doesn't have UVs, and the SURFACE is divided into many segments, and the CUTOUT Opacity is only on the BELT and SEAMS.

For example, the red part in the picture does not have a CUTOUT Opacity, so how can I cut it there?

I found a temporary solution. I selected the part and added another SHADER to get CUTOUT Opacity. It's not perfect but it can solve my problem temporarily. Thank you for your answer.
