Manual Install Not Working Despite Following Instructions
Hi, I have a problem.
I've got some files I want to install manually but I don't see them pop up in my daz studio program once I do. Before you ask, I've followed the install instructions to the letter.I noticed I have 2 content directories from the manager in daz studio, but I've put the one I want to use at the top.
I think the problem is that by just dropping it in the library map on windows, the "InstallManagerFileRegister.json" doesn't get affected. I want to try and manually add the path of the new files in the .json but I'm not sure what the numbers at the end mean exactly and which ones I should put there.
For example: [ "runtime/textures/west_park/wp_dway_s_wall_t.jpg", 3 ],
I'm not sure what the 3 means here. Some entries have the number 2.
Thanks in advance for the help

The Runtime (except fdor specific library folders under Poser Formats) and Data folders do not have user-facing files and are hidden, if you can see those folders in the Content pane then you have not installed correctly (probably your unzipping included a folder like Content or My Library that you placed in the actual content diectory when it is actually a placeholder for the content directory you are using).
When I download a zipped folder that I plan to manually install, I always unzip it first. I have seen videos that promote just left clicking and dragging the zipped folder to your Daz Studio library and then choosing Extract from the menu. However, I like to first choose what I drag and drop to my library. I don’t keep a ReadMe folder or a Documentation folder in my Daz Studio library. If a ReadMe folder or a Documentation folder is in the unzipped folder, I save anything useful that is there (oftentimes, nothing that I need or want) in a Documentation folder that is not in my Daz Studio library.
I manually install to a second content drive all of the content that I install via DIM as well as all third-party content that is not installed via DIM.
I like using Smart Content in addition to the Content Library tab, so I also create a product from the files in the Content Library (one-step operation) so that I have the files in Smart Content as well. The Smart Content entry won’t have a thumbnail image but that is easy to create.
