Another Unofficial "7" Character...

First Skyler 7, now SWOLE 7? Really PA's? What? Did making The Guy an official character open-up the spot for unofficial icons? XD

  • How are you finding out before the vendors if we don't know it's coming. Then someone has stolen the info where did you get it ! who passed it on ?

I think they're just making them easier to identify with the figure number associated with characters made with Genesis 3.

Right so these are not DAZ figures they are make by 3rd parties and 7 is the generation!

I think I got it now, thought someone was pulling a swiftly on the vendors !

I know, I just think it's a bit odd that DAZ is letting PA's use the iconic numbering gimmick to release a product.

Though, to answer the previous question: usually those of us who hawk-eye the supported FBMs in a product often find names of future characters. For example, we know we have an Isabella 7, Teen Julie 7, and Mei Lin 7 on the list of coming females thanks to a few outfits that have their shapes. When these queued characters get spotted, I usually take the liberty to purchase and post renders of said FBMs for sneak previews. :)

Sorry I didn't get it till I looked in the store. I think the 7 identifies it as a genesis 3 figure type so you know what clothes will fit it !

Exactly.  As a customer, to me it makes sense, especially if there has been more than one version of the character figure, which has been the case with Swole.

I would prefer the way it was in the past as raised by the OP - "Michael 7" was a DAZ Original iconic figure with a family of products.  In the past swole was identified as Genesis 2 SWOLE the DAZ base figure identified first with the modifications made by the PA.  I too was confused and thought DAZ had come out with a new figure.  He should have been marketed Genesis 3 Swole to keep with the naming conventions of the past.  This is especially important to manage UVs etc to know which characters are based on which UVs, etc. Since he uses Genesis 3 based UVs, the old naming convention would help to faciliate that.

Why no "SWOLE for Genesis 3 Male(s)", like everything else?

I'm not sure what UV's have to do with anything since "Swole 7 is a collection of HD morphs".  And were this a real issue with the products it should have been addressed by customers with the last version "Michael 6 Swole".
