where is the material folder?

I do not have it.

But according to the file list http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/read_me/index/111607/file_list

There is only a Material folder under G9. But if they are correctly setup, you should be able to find them in Smart Content, else you need to find them under G9.

According to the readme, there is only one material folder and its in the Genesis 9 folder:
