Mr. Bobble is driving me crazy
Has anyone had any luck at all getting Mr. Bobble figure to lipsync to an audio file? I have tried Mimic Live and Anilip2 but it turns out Mr. Bobble is no a standard figure like Genesis3 Male. He has his own viseme set, but if I have to hand key each viseme for a 20 minute dialog, I will go nuts.

I only use the 32-bit Mimic option in DAZ Studio, but Mimic Live should use the standard MImic .dmc files for characters; you can duplicate an existing .dmc file and rename it for Mr. Bobble and edit it to use his visemes.
The .dmc file is a standard text file and it has settings for eyes, eyebrows, visemes and more.
When you open the .dmc file, it looks like this:
********
gesture Raise Left Eyebrow
min 0.000000
max 1.000000
channeldef
head:1
eCTRLBrowUp-DownL
1.000000
gesture Raise Right Eyebrow
min 0.000000
max 1.000000
channeldef
head:1
eCTRLBrowUp-DownR
1.000000
gesture Blink Left
min 0.000000
max 1.000000
channeldef
head:1
eCTRLEyesClosedL
1.00000000
gesture Blink Right
min 0.000000
max 1.000000
channeldef
head:1
eCTRLEyesClosedR
1.00000000
... and so on.
The first gesture listed is
gesture Raise Left Eyebrow
and the parameter for it is " eCTRLBrowUp-DownL"
For Mr. Bobble, it's:
PBMBrowDownLeft
So replace " eCTRLBrowUp-DownL" with "PBMBrowDownLeft" and Mimic (and hopefully Mimic Live) now knows how to bring the left brow down. Do this for all the features you want to use.
To confirm you're grabbing the correct parameters, you can load a Genesis 8 character (use older Genesis characters from Genesis 8 down; Genesis 8.1 and higher use FACS-styled parameters and won't line up as nicely) and bring up the paramter you want to use (I'll show the one for lowering the left brow), hit the Paramter gear and you'll see the Parameter window and the paramter name "eCTRLBrowUp-DownL".
Other people might have better methods, hopefully they'll chime in. This is the one I use. I hope that helps, feel free to ask any further questions.
Wow! Thanks for that detailed response!
You're very welcome, hopefully it'll help. Let me know if you have any questions.
