Purchased Product doesn't come up as purchased?

I was about to re-purchase another product yesterday which when I checked my home spreadsheet purchase list it gave me the order. Until then it said that  it wasn't purchased and when I put it in the  cart it added it to the cart. I was about to check out when I seemed to believe that I had already done  this. When I put in  the  order number (from just this July in my spreadsheet) it came up as already purchased.  Otherwise there was no warning that I had already purchased the item. I think this is the second time the system has done this, the first time was during or before COVID.  The first time was a $1.99 item so I just let it go after I had found that it was duplicated. But this time it was going to be a $19.99 product that I had already purchased for $2.99.

How often does this happen?  How can I protect against this?

    Was it just the one product? Is it still showing as not purchased? Which was it?

    I find that, once in a while, purchased products show as not purchased, could be a caching issue. I usually refresh the page and then it corrects itself. It's annoying and could possibly lead to double purchase. >_> I also find some products sometimes show I don't have the required item when I actually do. Same thing, refresh page and the page remembers.

    Adding to what Torquinox said, when that happens, the item you already own will have a download icon beside its "add to cart" button instead of a heart button for wishlisting.

    Happened to me as well. The reason simply was that I was not logged in and so the page didn't recognize me. After logging in it worked again.

    Always check, if you are logged in by the orange symbol up right.

    One thing that you might enounter is if you bought a bundle and then see something else (like a smaller bundle) it might not show as bought. For example, the Michael 9 everything bundle was bought by me but the Michael 9 contemporary bundle (or whatever it was called) might not show as purchased, even though all the items were in the everything bundle.

    9/21/2025  Richard, Thank you for getting back to me.  Thank you also to everyone else, too. I'm sorry, I have been away I couldn't search to find the email I sent and took the time to do it line item by line item.

    This has  happend more than once, but not that often. When it first happened it was a small purchase and I did look for the purchase date and do not remeber what was recorded. I think one time it may have been a bundle, as per Ghost of Macbeth, and the item was probably refunded.

    This time it is a single item called "Riviel Hair."  (https://www.daz3d.com/rievel-hair).  It is by AprilYSH.  Is that possible  that is a DAZ item from a company I had bought from previously before the company was bought by DAZ?  I know AprilYSH has been a Daz contributer for longer than I have been a member and that is now getting to be a long time, now.

    Non-Sequitur (1) There used to be a way for me to search on my username to find all the comments I have made on forums at DAZ. Can I still do that?  Right now I have an AI search banner which I have too type underneath which obscures most of what I type and doesn't give me forum searches.

    If you click your name to open your profile page, then click the gear icon at top-right on the same line as your name you should see a My Posts link. Have you tried clearing the cache for the Daz site?

    I bought it here in 2007, so it's been here at least that long.

    And the "Hide Items I Own" box is still there and pseudo-functioning if you're not logged in, which can make you think that you are.
