As a GENERAL guideline, assuming the same generation of hardware:
More CUDA cores renders faster, more memory handles more complex scenes.
Neither one is REALLY more important than the other, unless you regularly make really complex scenes, or only ever make single figure glamour portraits, or the like.

Hmm, I think if you have 4 and 8 gb card in same machine, Daz will still use the 8 gb card (optionally with cpu) if the 4 gb card limit is exceeded.
