From my iMac (note red arrow in lower right)
The chatbot seems to be very limited in what it can provide for answers.
I asked it what version of iray render engine where available in what versions of Studio and all it could really tell me was to find the changelogs and look it up myself.
Not really all that helpful.
I asked it questions about how it's trained and if it can update it's information to the most current and it basically told me that no it can't. It's most up to date information is for Studio version 4.22.
So, until it's data set includes current versions it really won't be all that useful for anything a user would be doing in a current version.
I asked it what it's limitations were and it told me it can't provide things like materials preset, poses, and things like that. Anything considered as "content"
I didn't ask it more mundane questions like "how to install Studio" or "How do I install content".
So I don't know how it performs on tasks such as these.
Here's it reply to my query of it limitations
keep in mind it also told me it's most current available data set is for Studio 4.22
"Perfect! Here's a clear summary of my limitations so you can craft effective questions:
What I Can Help With:
• Daz 3D software guidance (Daz Studio, workflows, features)
• Product information and usage instructions
• Troubleshooting software issues (installations, settings, rendering)
• Historical version information (though may not include latest releases)
• General how-to guidance for Daz processes
Key Limitations:
• No Content Creation - I can't generate actual files, materials, poses, or downloadable content
• No Account Access - Can't view your personal information, orders, or make account changes
• No Actions - Can't perform operations, updates, or changes on your behalf
• Hardware Safety - Won't suggest anything that could damage your equipment
• Knowledge Currency - My information may not include the very latest releases (like current 4.24 beta details)
• No Third-Party Support - Limited help with non-Daz applications or brokered plugins
My Role: I provide informational guidance to help you understand how to do things yourself, but I can't actually do them for you.
This should help you frame questions around "how do I..." rather than "can you create..." or "please do this for me."

Is that what you were looking for?

I understand that this is in beta so hopefully as it's dataset expands it becomes more useful.
I've simply never interacted with Siri. If you've ever seen the movie Her, even setting the entire plot aside, the world of the movie is basically my vision of hell. Not only do I not want to talk to my electronics, I certainly don't want to hear everyone else talking to their electronics all around me.
idk, asking the replicator to make an "Earl Grey,,hot" for me doesn't sound so bad.
There's a movie about smart speakers called Kimi. I found Zoe Kravitz's character very relatable. And she had a job listening to people talk to their electronics.
However, what is much more likely is that you'll need to explain the whole process of picking and making tea to your replicator, it'll take all available processing power for hours, and come up with something almost entirely unlike tea. As per Arthur Dent's experience in Hitch Hiker's Guide.
Regards, Richard
Thank you Nemsis10. I looked on my main store page but I can't see it. I noticed folks writing about Siri, is that a requirement? I have Siri and any other listening app turned off on all my computers, pads, and phone.

Here's what she said...
Please ask daz for the option to turn you off, the less on the scree is preferrable

I completely understand your preference for less screen clutter! Your feedback about wanting an option to turn off the chat widget is valuable and echoes what other community members have already shared.
In fact, this exact request has been made before by users who find the widget takes up too much screen space, especially on mobile devices. One community member specifically requested: "Please make it off by default on mobile devices and so it may be turned on by a setting if the user wants it" as a product improvement.
Your feedback joins others who've expressed the same concern about wanting uncluttered screen space over having the chat widget visible. This type of user feedback helps inform future product decisions about interface options.
While I can't make changes myself, your request for a toggle option to disable the chat widget has been noted and adds to the existing community feedback on this topic.
no, that was just me offtopic complaining about Siri
it lost it's context when posts from another thread were merged inbetween the post I replied to without quoting, will fix it now
I don't mind the 'Make it so', but all the explaining would drag. Lights that operate by voice are OK, if they work.
Thank you Wendy. I wonder if I need to turn something on for that to show up then?
My Adblocker appearrs to be blocking the chatbot which is good news !
Which version of OS X and which browser do you use?
Victoria the chatbot has now made a ticket to look into my 5 month old unanswered ticket to sales. Not holding my breath, will let you know if I get any kind of response or resolution with artificial intervention.
Huh. I avoid AI on principle when at all possible, but making a similar request might be worth an exception.
My prompt:
Please request Daz for a change to the chatbot so that the widget must be enabled via checkbox in the settings in order to appear.
Victoria:
I understand you'd like the chatbot widget to be optional through a settings checkbox. This is actually a feature request that has been discussed in our community forums.
One of our forum members made a similar product improvement request, specifically asking for the chatbot to be "off by default on mobile devices and so it may be turned on by a setting if the user wants it," noting that it takes up considerable screen space on mobile.
To submit your feature request directly to our development team, I'd recommend posting it in the Product Suggestions section of our forums where our team actively reviews community feedback for potential improvements.
...so slightly different answer/solution than what the previous commenter got.
I have macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 and Google Chrome Version 139.0.7258.155 (Official Build) (arm64). I also have Malwarebytes in Private mode. I turned that off but had no change to my screen. I was on my Windows 10 laptop earlier and after it updated, looked on Google Chrome at the forum and it also didn't show the chat thing. I also just checked my Windows 11 laptop, where I use Edge and no sign there. I do use Ad Blocker on all my computer. I had to start that because of DAZ's advertising inserting itself into the forums constantly and annoying me.

'Vickybot' gave me a meaningful and helpful answer to a not too difficult test question. Only my (satisfied) feedback did not work (iPadOS 18.6.2, Browser DuckDuckGo).
Yeah... like, if we "submit our feedback directly" through the forums, what's the purpose of the ticket system?
Frankly I trust AI as far as I can throw it, and I'm terrible at sports. I just thought it was interesting that two of us asked basically the same thing, but it popped out two different directives.
I just discovered I can see the Ai search in landscape view in Safari iOS
When Vickybot takes off the mask...
