Rebuild a Gen 8 Library from Scratch

I'd like to try to build a completely separate Genesis 8 library and I'm wondering what the best way to go about this is.

Should I use the Install Manager? Is there a way to only have it access a specific library? I don't want it to mess up my current library where I have everything manually installed and organized in a specific way.

I imagine I should probably use a separate drive and I'm wondering if the install manager can create a whole library on a separate drive while ignoring my current library.

I have never used the install manager before because it's always freaked me out, but it seems like it might be a great way to build a library with my ridiculously large collection of Gen 8 stuff.

Thanks as always for whatever great advice you folks have for me.

You can give Install Manager multiple potential paths and switch between them from the drop-down list at the bottom of the Ready to Instal tab -  as long as they are separate, not one ensted inside another, they can be anywhere and called anyting (using the standard character set of valid characters). You also have to tell DS where they are in Content Directory Manager

Thanks. Good to know it's versatile. Going to try the rebuild based on this.
