trying to change the main content database

I had to get a new hard drive and now everything is very wonky. Against I'm sure everyone's better judgement all my Daz stuff is installed on my external hard drive. There just is simply not enough space on my HD.

How do I go about changing it back to that?

I don't really understand what is working and what is not.

In Daz Studio in Edir > Preferences > Content > Content Directory Manager you must ensure that Daz Studio (and Poser) content point to where your content are.

If you have moved the database you must also update that.

In DIM (assuming you are using that), you must update installation path (and database if changed). And if you have moved your content, you should also update the manifest files.

And make sure your main content library is on the top of each grouping, if there is more than two folders.

    For example:

    My DAZ 3D Content

    My DAZ 3D Library

    My Library

I think next time I clean install my Windows I will uninstall all my DIM Content and then copy what's left to a new 2nd DAZ Content Library to keep the freebies, Smith Micro/Poser, Hivewire, Renderosity, and now that new DAZ content place I can't remember, in their consolidated but seperate from DIM location.
