NVIDIA popup message upon Carrara new scene start
Greetings. I recently replaced my computer. Windows 11. New computer has an NVIDIA graphics card. New installation of Carrara. When I start up Carrara I get a pop up window briefly in the upper right of the Assemble room notifying me that NVIDIA overlay is available.
Has anyone seen this before? What is it? Do I want that to 'overlay' while I am running Carrara?
Perhaps unrelated, but I have noticed that Carrara now freezes if I do a spot render in the Assemble room. Everything else seems OK.

its the shadowplay screen capture overlay, I have never seen it on Carrara though
Good news you are up and running! For the spot render have you tried , in preferences under open gl there is an option to untick 'display lists' - wonder if that would help?" Probably not but worth ago. Haven't seen the overlay thing sorry.
Edit
Quick google says its a feature for games, giving you an overlay that provides stats eg frame rate ? Sounds harmless.
I don't do gaming so I don't install the NVIDIA gaming driver set I only get the other option which I can't remember what it's called.
when it works, its handy for tutorials, I find it hit and miss and resort to Win+G instead to capture stuff
Thanks for the tip about OpenGL. Unticking the box seems to have done the trick. I have only tested it on simple scenes, but so far so good.
Double thumbs up
