new difficulty

Got my hero in a football uniform, added a helmet. two problems: one, i can't make faceplate invisible so we can see his face. two: i try to move the helmet from his head and put it in his right hand, but changing fit to...doesn't work. must be some way to keep it free to. move anywhere?

thanks,

don

For making the glass transparnet you can apply a glass shader to it.

For having the helmet in his hand, you can't use fit, as the rigging don't match with the hand. Instead you should treat it as a prop, i.e. not fit it to anything, move it to the hand and parent to the hand.

    Alternatively:

    1. In Surfaces pane, select Visor surface, set color in Glass-Gem Color slot to pure white, then turn on Thin Walled. (ss1)

    2. In Parameters pane, set Fit to Mode to Auto Follow Transforms, then you can freely drag it to anywhere. When you want to bring it back to figure's head, Zero its Transform values  (XYZ Translate / Rotate) ... or set Fit to Mode back to Redirect Transforms (ss2)
