gen 9 figure convert to gen 8?

i picked a gen 9 female to be a gf, but the outfit i want her in is for gen 8. can i convert the clothes to fit, or her to the clothes? i searched and found Conversion apps that will change the Pose from one gen to the other, but will that do the job for several poses? or lock her into gen 8 when I want her to be gen 9 basically? sorry, this seems to confuse me, so i hope you can understand the situation.

    You can autofit G8F clothes to G9.

    sounds good but reference guide says only G4 clothes will work in autofit. i tried an 8 dress on my 9 and it did work, yay! thanks.

    Which "G4"? Genssi 4 or fourth generation Daz figures (e.g. Victoria 4, Michael 4 etc.)? However, any conversion does require that the destination figure has a clone for the source figure.
