invalid node selection for "preset properties" type error ...
Anyone know what the hell [invalid node selection for "preset properties" type error] that means? Keep gettting it when I try to add a Poser prop I imported to properties presets to a scene.

Add? Does it hasppen whatever proeprties you select, or do you not get to the point of selecting properties? My suspicion would be that there are no external proeprty assets for the preset to refer to, but I am not sure that should matter in theory.
It allows me to select the prop but the prop never shows in the scene files and I get the same message for every prop I try to load as a prop preset (at least the ones I'm trying to use).
You mean it doesn't save to Scenes, or it doesn't appear in the Scene pane?
It doesn't show in Scene pane. Imported Poser file, saved it as a properties preset (as a .duf file) but when I click on it in content library it doesn't show in Scene and I get this message in the log file.
I decided to just save the Poser runtime files to my Poser content folder and now I can acess what I need. But would not import and save as a prop preset.
A Properties presets saves thevalues for proeprties, it is a generalised form of a Pose, Materials, or Shape preset. It does not save models as such, it is to be applied to a model (which is absent when you try to use it, hence the error). A Scene or Scene Subset will save actual objects, as will a Character/Persona preset (if used to load a new figure) or a Wearables preset (but that is for things parented to a base item, it does include the base item).
Properties Preset just saves the Prop's properties rather than the Prop per se. You want to save a Scene Subset.
Edit: Ah, just as Richard explained.
Thank you all! From now on it's scene subsets :)
