How to install icons for characters in a different place

I have a few characters that, after installing with IM, don't have icons in the My DAZ 3D Library/People/Genesis 8 Female/Characters.  None of these characters are ones that I bought from the DAZ Store (I got them from RM and RO).  They all have folders under the Characters folder and they have icons in their individual folders, but not under the main Characters folder like the DAZ Store items do.  I would like to have all my G8F characters in one place without having to click in multiple subfolders to find them.  I noticed that all the characters that have icons in the Character folder have 3 files:

Character Name.duf

Character Name.png

Character Name.tip.png

 

But if I move these 3 files from the subfolders where the character is installed up to the main Character folder, they still don't appear there.

 

Is it possible to have the icons (and related duf) display in the high level Character folder?  If so, any tips on how to do it is appreciated.

    Are you looking in Smart Content or Content library?

    Certainly it's possible, but the questions are:

    1)  You said "None of these characters are ones that I bought from the DAZ Store" but you said before " I have a few characters that, after installing with IM..."  How did you install them with Install Manager ? You found IM installation package from the product ZIPs that you got from RO or RM ? (by the way, what is RM, which site ? I saw this abbr. for the first time...)

    2) How did you move the files, in Content Library or in File Broswer ? Suggest you do it in Content Library so that you can instantly see the files in \Characters folder after Moving or Copying.

    3) After moving three files to \Characters folder in File Browser if you did like that , have you done Refresh in Content Library ?

    Leana, this is in the Content Library window.  I've given up on Smart Assets figuring out non-DAZ store assets.  That's one of the reasons why I'm trying to spify up my Content Library view.

     

    crosswind, I am using Content Package Assist.  It was not able to help me with my Smart Assets issue, but it forces IM to install non-DAZ products, which is nice so I can uninstall with one click if need be.

    I mistyped.  I meant RH, not RM.

    I've been using windows explorer to move the icons.  I'll try doing it in Content Library and see what happens.

    Yes, I refreshed Content Library and restarted DS just to make sure.

    Yeah, just do it in Content Library. You right-click on a character's thumbnail > Copy, then click Characters sub-folder up there, righ-click in the thumbnail list down below, then Paste. You'll see it.
