Install ruined my ability to use Studio

I was on an old Alpha that worked with my 5080ti card and all was well. But every time I loaded I got a nag screen .... new version ... update it ... youll love it...

I finally did.  And now nothing works.  I can install to my C drive fine, the binaries go right in.  I have my content on a network attached drive and this is suddenly useless.  First when I go through the tree in the content pane (the one time it loaded at all) i could see the directories but only some of them would show content.  Most of the time though it shows nothing at all when I click on that entire library.  Also I cannot install any content, when I try it says this example from the DIM log:

The files are all there, they do open and are populated.  But Daz will not access them.  If I explicitly try to run as Admin DIM says it cannot run with elevated priveledges (probably a good thing).  But my personal account has full access to this path.  By the way This also affected my Alpha build so basically nothing works.  

Any ideas?

Is the Network Attached drive mapped to a drive letter or is it using a UNC path? The latter should never have worked.
