Installing/using content from two DAZ accounts

Is it possible to use content from two different DAZ accounts in the same DAZ Studio scene ? Reason being that I have two accounts, one originally being for free stuff only - does anybody remember the 3D content provider that used to sneakily add an "extended download" for $5 or something to any order you placed, even if the order was zero cost? Once bitten twice shy.

If not, is it possible to merge the two DAZ accounts into one ?

I'm sure I asked these questions several years ago and ended up going the manual install route. But I don't fancy manually installing 18 years worth of DAZ stuff.

I think the answer should be yes, as long as you purchased the products with those two accounts no matter paid or free stuff. Only you have to switch in between two accounts with DIM.

As for merging, you better fill a support ticket to Daz requesting the merge.

It likely wouldn't work with Connect install, but that should be doable with DIM as you can define multiple acounts there.
I would suggest defining different Downloads and Manifest folders for each account in DIM so that it doesn't risk getting confused regarding what's installed:

    1. Add account 1 and 2 in DIM with the drop-down in launch window, without logging in to any of them
    2. select account 2 in the list, then tick "work offline" and go to "advanced" parameters
    3. go to "Dowloads" tab and change the path to "Package archive" to another folder (eg I created a "downloads2" folder next to the original one), and same for thumbnails if you dowload them.
    4. do the same for "Manifest Archive" in Install tab
    5. Accept the changes

    Easy!
Download manually and run the zip file to your directory.

I've installed my content manually for years but honestly DIM makes it much easier to handle updates or uninstalling.

It does make uninstallations easier for sure, but updates? No.

Thanks Leana. Using DIM I seem to be able to do what I want following your suggestions.

I've always used the manual install in the past, but as I said in the first post I'd rather not do that any more - far too tedious !
