PROJECT SEVEN
An illustrated novel based on the author’s spiritual memories.
SLOGAN: «The genome is a masterpiece. The body is an ideal. He is the crown of the design. He is Enaferdi».
IDEA
In the harsh world of Aletran, where ruthless order reigns supreme, Mikael choked under the oppressive weight of his despotic father, yearning for freedom. But when liberation finally came, it turned into bitter disappointment. Immersing himself in forbidden pleasures, Mikael tries to drown out the pain of years gone by, but his intoxication is fleeting. A powerful enemy cuts short his life.
However, death is not the end, but only the beginning.
In a secret laboratory, scientists regenerate Mikael, transforming him into a superbeing. Thus, Enaferdi is born — a creation whose abilities challenge human nature itself. Joining the elite unit Project Seven, he becomes part of a mission to protect the government. Each member of the unit bears a special mark — the key to a supercomputer.
But what lies behind this mark? What price had to be paid for the new life? And is Enaferdi ready to serve those who created him?

PROLOGUE

The steel hangar doors grate open with a prolonged screech, reluctantly letting me inside.
— The portal is activated, — announces the red-haired Kreira. Her voice echoes off the metallic walls of the laboratory. In her impeccably white lab coat, she confidently operates the console, swiftly tapping the touchscreen.

— But… if I were you, I’d double-check everything, — she continues. — Quantum fluctuations are no joke, you know. One glitch, and you’ll be smeared across all dimensions. Are you sure it’s worth the risk? We could wait, stabilize the field again…
— I understand the risks, Kreira. Everything’s under control, — I respond to her mentally.
She raises her head and meets my gaze. Against my three-meter height, she seems tiny, like a toy figure.
— On Vectane, time flows differently: an hour there is a year here. How many years will pass before you return? — Kreira says, her voice barely audible over the monotonous hum of the working electronics.
— I’ll need time, — I reply firmly. — At least twenty years. Maybe more. There’s too much unfinished business on Vectane.

Kreira pulls back. She sighs, brushing a stray red lock from her face. Her voice softens, tinged with genuine concern:
— Twenty years… — she whispers. — You’re risking everything. If Xavier… He wouldn’t have stood for this. He’d have burned this universe down to find another way. Or stepped into that rift with you.
Xavier’s name stirs an echo of an old wound within me. Once, he was like a father, a mentor… But now, a chasm gapes between us, carved by betrayal and irreconcilable differences that tore our bond apart.
I slowly approach the portal. My crimson robe — a symbol of my authority — flows smoothly across the metallic floor. The heavy folds rustle faintly, and I carefully lift the hem to avoid stumbling.
— He and I haven’t seen eye to eye in a long time, — I transmit mentally to Kreira, gazing into the boundless abyss of the portal ahead. — He chose his path. And I’ve chosen mine.
A deep breath. I take a step forward. The portal’s surface brushes against my face — neither liquid nor solid, but fluid, like molten glass. In the next moment, every cell in my body ignites, torn between pain and ecstasy. The world shatters into billions of shimmering fragments of light, and I dissolve into them, losing myself piece by piece.

A sharp jolt — and I find myself before a colossal portal, towering above the ground. Its arch pulses with such immense energy that the air trembles, and sparks crackle in the silence.
I look around. Before me stretches Vectane: a ghostly blue sky, venomously green plains...
Home.
I’ve missed it so much.
Behind me, my companions emerge from the portal one by one. First as blurred silhouettes, then as distinct figures, taking on flesh and form.
There are seven of us. I am one of the chosen. My name is Enaferdi Des Vallar. I am known as the Lord of Minds, the seventh among the supergods. My power lies in penetrating consciousness, controlling memory and perception. I create illusions so masterful that they rewrite reality itself, turning fiction into truth. For centuries, entire civilizations under my influence have accepted as truth that which never existed, or erased from memory events that shaped their destinies.
