I'm looking to possibly commission someone to create an out for me-- dfroce, G8. It would consist of three parts-- a jacket, boots and a skirt. What would be a ballpark price? I have an artist in mind, but I don't know what woud be considered a reasonable offer.
Thanks.

You should also consider textures. Shall it just be 1 material set for each item?
And is it considered exclusiv or can they sell it like normal?
Regarding price. Guess how many hours/days the task will take and multiply with an approciate hourly rate.
Honestly, there's so much variation in what "jacket, boots and skirt" could mean that this doesn't really give anyone enough to answer.
There are times when I would have probably paid $1000 US dollars for something that could make a Genesis 3 or Genesis 8 character have three breasts that work the same as they would when it was just two. I probably would have paid a few hundred dollars for a DAZ-compatible character that looked just like the person in my reference images, and offered to it again in the future. But I couldn't find anybody to do those things.
I hired 3D Universe to create characters for me and I found his rates excellent and quality is top notch:

It doesn't cost anything to ask for a quote and for every quote he's provided he's never once gone over.
For commission work, I believe that anything he makes for you becomes yours 100%, so you'd be able to sell any clothing he made for you, if that helps.
Thanks. I love their work and have many of their products! Will follow up!
Ditto. I have hired Steve repeatedly for charascter desiign, outfits and textures. I can vouch he is worth what he charges. Be clear and concise in what you want. Think it through. I have given him recipes resulting in limiting stifling his creative freedom and also given him full rein. He performs equally well in both scenarios. If you add on an item or texture he is flexible and very co-operative but of course there will be additional charges for extra (add-ons) work.
