HOW TO FIX A PARTICULAR DRESS SIMULATION
in The Commons
Hey Guys I have a RMO Dforce Dress, https://www.daz3d.com/dforce-ruched-midi-outfit-for-genesis-8-and-81-females?srsltid=AfmBOoo7IVLRfu3tnenpt_BAzH_3TlU0-mg-uyJNDfOjwvOnW43yKFtj
I really like this dress but the ties of this dress is causing a issue it always blows up during dfrorce simulation. I have no Idea I even tried with animated timeline but still causing the same issue and i cant't hid tie specifically causing a issue. If you guys have tried this dress in particular or some other dress how do I do a work around. Also this dress in promo the ties doesnt explode(offcourse) but how it is creating problem in my dforce simulation.

Are you simulating from a pose, or from default pose? Have you tried simulating on an unmorphed character?
Hello, do the ties have their own surface? Depending on the pose you're using, you could set the dynamic strength to 0 while you simulate the dress, but the main caveat of that of course is that the ties won't hang realistically.
Something else to check is whether self collide is enabled - if so, that can sometimes cause simulation explosions. Also lowering gravity a bit can sometimes help.
The only other solution that springs to mind which is more complex and more trouble than its worth would be to separate the ties into its own dynamic prop, so that you can control the simulations independently.
One thing I really wish dForce supported is simulation resume, where like in Marvelous Designer you can effectively pause/continue simulation without starting from the beginning.
I don't have the dress.
Are the bows part of the dress or attached with rigid follower nodes?
What (kind of) pose are you trying to simulate?
I don't see any issue of "ties blow up" after simulating this dress. But if you have a non-standing pose, e.g. lying down, like the 5th small promo on the product page, you have to modify the transforms of the ties, like what I did in the below screenshots. The vendor also did the same.
The vendor gave rigging to the ties just for some unique poses.
So, better post a screenshot to illustrate the issue you have...
Usually explosions happen when the item intersects with something else. Fingers are common suspects. Go to the last frame where all looks good, and then the first frame of the explosion to see if you can learn what might be affecting the ties.
Hey Guys Thanks for the help. I use what Silas3d mentioned I turned the surface collision and it is working fine now.
Glad it helped!
