Working on a color project for the Daz Dragon 3

So basically this all started because I wasn't impressed with the sheer lack of colors on the Daz Dragon 3, Especially a sheer lack of blue
It's basically a simple little project that I've made 9 color variants so far, and I plan on adding more = some fancier and prettier ones later down the road.
Hope everyone likes these (also I'm open to color suggestions to work on)
EDIT: To Abide by DAZ's terms, I cannot redistribute this color set as it uses the original scale texture from Daz Dragon 3 as I initially wanted to. Sorry guys

Showing a couple demo renders with both Exis and Crimson colors
Two more demo renders of the following textures
The Millenium Dragon had quite a range of colours. Green
and Blue
are the best of the Mil-Dragon options I think. If something like those were available, it'd be great. Have you read Anne McCaffrey's 'Dragon Riders of Pern' series? The colours in that have always sounded great, and the ability of Iray to show metallic sheens means that the colours of Gold, bronze, blue , brown, green, red and maybe white would look spectacular.
Quite a job, should you choose to take it on.

Richard
Great work :)
Maybe I am missing your point. If you are enjoying creating your own colors for Daz Dragon 3, great. I went through my Product Library and found a group of color options. I am also a fan of Anne McCaffrey's 'Dragon Riders of Pern' since they were originally released.
Here is a list of products I found with textures:

You know, I get a stabbing pain in the wallet every time someone mentions a paid for item..
How on earth do you find these things? When I do a search for 'Dragon' in the store search, I get lots of dragon things, including these dragon related items:
With such a wealth of dragon related stuff, where the word 'dragon' appears exactly 0 times on the sale page, I tend to give up and hope I'll see it some day, one day, maybe never...

Richard
I see color and value shifts in the OP's examples that are lacking in the paid products. I like the results. The blue and topaz look especially nice. I'm wondering if there's a plan to make these textures available to the public.
@Richard, I keep all my purchased Dragon items promos in one folder, characters, poses, textures, morphs, ... And I used my online Product Library to search by DAZ Dragon 3 or just Dragon, then sort by name. When I first started, I rarely and still rarely get freebies. I have tons waiting to be installed. Initially I didn't understand the filing system, then after buying Content Wizard I ran into lack of time. I also had some crashes that destroyed a number of DAZ installations in the past, or damaged the work I had done. Which meant months of cleanup.
I am also phobic about websites and downloading. When my son lived with me he downloaded more trojans and crap onto my computers. I went onto one just this morning and security alerted me to danger. Closed immediately. It took me years before I worked up my courage to even BUY an item from Renderosity, much less download a freebie.

Richard - quickest way is from the "Product Add-Ons" section at the bottom of the Daz Dragon 3 store page - there are lots and lots of related items listed there (more than fit on my screen capture at the lowest zoom setting my browser allows)
ETA: Of course not all of those are textures, there are morphs and wearables too.
Don't I feel stupid, now, but you are so right. I should have thought. Doh! I've been back doing this for 6 years now.. WHY?!? What a nitwit.

Richard
I don't have a vast amount I feel I can spend on 'pocket money' hobbies, so I get a good few freebies. I get them mostly from known sites (Renderosity or DAZ principally) as the reputable sites are less likely to have viruses. I downloaded enough freebies to feel that I should give stuff back, and as I joined Rendo 25 years ago and get many, many freebies from them, they get every freebie I do (256 & counting), and I try to upload any that are small enough (less than 5Mb zip file) onto the forums here.
I think you'll find that most freebie zip files have a 'Content' directory, then you drag & drop the contents of that directory into a content directory set up for freebies using something like Windows File Explorer. That way if it goes wrong, it's separate from your main paid for content. If the freebie creator hasn't made it easy and failed to include a 'Content' directory, delete the file. You've lost nothing.
I will confess I install all my paid for content this way, and have done so since I first got Poser (year 2002, maybe?). I don't like being locked in to DAZ as my only shop and as a result won't use DIM either.

Richard
What you've done looks pretty good.

Are these based on the original textures?
Yes they are ^^
Alright! got a bunch of sample renders featuring the following colors
Another shot of the Bronze, and a better view of the wings
I did some marking texturing along the edges of it because i thought It would look nice tbh
Thank you so much!
You likely can't offer these textures to others as they are not your own all-original textures. You would need permission from Daz.
Oof. That's a bummer. because I would have loved to give these color variants out as freebies
Aw, don't beat yourself up! There are so many things you are so good at! (Hence your wonderful freebies collection) So I'm sure nitwit is not the word
You can't share the modified maps, but if you can separate your work out as overlays that do not incorporate or follow the base maps you might well be able to share those with instructions on how to combine them (or Layered Image presets to do it in DS). It will depend on exactly what you diid to make the variants, and whether you have the required working files.
The mask layer from the texture you wouldn't be able to include (but most image editors can do the equivalent, I think, either directly or copying the grey channel or one of the colour channels to a mask).
That sounds promising!
