How to catalog old stuff? (Poser compatible)

hello.
surely the topic has already been discussed, but I couldn't find anything comprehensive about it.

is it possible to re-enable the Unassigned category on daz 4.24 for old stuff?

If I try to install an old product, I can no longer locate what it has installed, even under “Default/Scan Results”

Have you invented your own procedure for old products that install in the Runtime library ?

    What are you trying to achieve, get it showing in Smart Content?

    no, in the Content Library tab, so that I can categorize them the way I like.
    in the old Daz 3, new products would appear in bold in the Unassigned category and then categorize according to their own rules.
    Example .../Victoria4/clothes/SciFi/...etc.../materials/...etc.

    Now I can only find them in PoserFormats/My Library/Runtimes/...etc.../ but it is all mixed up and hard to find

    What I do is install to another content directory, with only one or a few items in it, for testing (it's easier to find mispathed files then) and metadata creation (I usually make a full product), then move the files to the main content directory (as long as the relative paths stay the same the database doesn't care - but don't create any Custom Actions from the testing location as those do store absolute paths).
