Decimator Plug-In

Hey! Hello All! Did anybody happen to find a solution for the blip whereby some of us have no grey box to type in our registration number for the bought version of Decimator? I can't get mine to appear and it happens to also disable the free version I assume is a pro/premier thing, I can't get either...
As always, any help or comment around this is appreciated greatly, so thank you in advance - the age of the common (wo)man imparting his knowledge for the consummate progression of All is ablaze!!!

Does it have an entry at all in Help>About Installed Plug-ins? If it does, and you click that, what does the info pabel at the bottom ofd the dialogue show?
Hey Richard! - Always a reliable responder! Here's a screenshot, it work perfectly fine on my old SSD - I have fresh re-installed all of my Daz and libraries to a new, larger, clean SSD so everything is literally working @ default on drive C - I haven't had problems with much else Ive noticed thus far and I have a lot of plug-ins (as we do!). Cheers for the responses - Hey @barbult! Nice one for piping in - the 'free' one I only came across myself through reading these threads - its in the Studio section of the same list if you expand it, it appears to be the same version (hence maybe it only appears if you buy it? - I've no reference other than these threads and my own Daz download), everybody must see it, at least on Plus/Prem OR if you've bought Decimator, don't know anything else about it...
Oh and I've long and repeatedly restarted and been working for a few weeks, I've only noticed as I came to use it - only to find said problem, I tried reinstalling and restarting, plus my system has been shut down a few times since the initial discovery, I sat on it for a few days or so...
Cheers!
sorry , I don't post much on anything regularly - I've just twice deleted the attachment I put on! Here's a screenshot...
That's strange. The path to the plugin looks correct in your screenshot, and the version looks correct. Perhaps you need to uninstall it with DIM and reinstall it with DIM. Maybe that will help somehow.
There isn't a free version of Decimator - it was part of the paid-for version of DS 4 Pro (serial number starting SDZPRO as I recall, though mine isn't now showing in my list of serials) but was a non-free add-on for the free DS (serial number starting SDZFPRO)
Ah, that makes sense.
yes, i was simply requoting how it was stated on a previous thread (c.f.'free' decimator) where some people had this same issue I have with their paid version - however, the 'solved' status was simply - 'submit a ticket' but that guy had already been waiting three weeks so I was trying to expediate things if another solution had been identified... ...looking like I'd better submit that ticket I guess! Thank you for taking the time to respond both of you...
Long shot, but try expanding the plug-ins in your list, like under your different bundles. I have more than one entry, but only one that will accept a registraton number.
cheers @wsterdan, I've already done that but thank for chiming in! It's definitely the usual grey box that is completely missing - fresh install, older install worked but SSD failed, but rather than tranasfer the data with all the metadata mix-ups from daz connect - i installed fresh from DIM on a brand new SSD, mostly everthing I've used so far across all apps so far works fine, but this is missing - typically I noticed when I went to use it!
The prefixes for serial numbers that will activate Decimator are
SDZSPRO-040 for "DAZ Studio Pro Bundle"
SDZGDVB-010 for "Game Developer Bundle"
SDZDECI-010 for "DAZ Decimator"
In recent builds there is a selector to theright of an empty field in help>About Intalled Plug-ins that lets you pick which to use, in older versions there is greyed out placeholder text with the pefiox and a string of Xs for the unique part. A registered plug-in won't have anything for serial entry.
pefiox = prefix??
Yes, and see http://docs.daz3d.com/doku.php/public/software/dazstudio/4/change_log_4_24_0_3#4_23_1_44 for benefits of being logged in when opening the dialogue.
@CAV_18687 did you ever get a solution to this issue? Mine's doing the same thing and I have uninstalled and reinstalled I don't recall how many times. Everytime the grey plug icon and no place to enter my purchased license.
Im really sorry about any delay, I've only just seen this - unfortunately I did not manufacture a solution as such, I put in a ticket but didn't hear anything back quickly, then one day it just appeared as it should do and my decimator worked, and the same problem persisted in beta, but in turn beta rectified itself sometime afterwards - my point being I'm not totally sure whether or not the ticket was the cause of the fix, or it just fixed itself upon some other update or other event. I'm sorry I can't be more helpful but at least I suppose, you now know mine did rectify itself, and perhaps its worth you putting in the ticket...
