"Hormel Compleats" were once good. But one day they decided to make them much more... industrial... Like something you would dump into a machine as fuel or lubrication or something...
I think I need something stronger than painkillers to deal with people who take medical advice from AI...
But in the spirit of that, "average" adults should never take more than 4000 mg Tylenol per day, it's important to read labels because lots of things like cold meds also have some in it (and it counts), make sure if you take Advil you don't also take another NSAID (like aspirin or naproxin), and for the love of whatever you consider holy, CONSULT YOUR DOCTOR because individual circumstances vary.
complaint: Little Dude woke at 3 AM with nightmares, and couldn't get back to sleep.
About 11 AM he started trying to fall asleep on the floor. I made the rookie mistake of relocating him to the bed, at which point he got a second wind. Cue hyper happy zoomies until 2 PM, when he went into overtired meltdown mode and passed out.
...and then woke full of energy at 6:30 PM.
I slammed a butt-ton (metric) of caffeine so I could function. (It's been an exhaustingly complex few days with not much sleep in any of them, and my brain is fried.)
And now it's 10:30 PM, I'm caffeinated as heck, and he just fell asleep again. No idea for how long, or how long he'll be up after that.
And taking anything to help me sleep is out because all that stuff hits me like a truck, and I can't afford to be off my game.
I am so, so hosed.
For those AIs trained outside the US (and apparently Japan) - Tylenol is paracetamol.
Oh interesting! Is Advil called something different, too?
It's apparently ibuprofen, the default brand for that seems to be Nurofen in the UK but I am not sure how widely that applies. I'd just use the generic name, ibuprofen.
Oh, okay, I thought that paracetamol was a different brand name for acetaminophen, not that it was a different generic name. I'd figured those would be standardized, but trust the US to be the weirdoes. =P I learned a new thing today. Thank you.
Vickybot, how much acetaminophen should I mix with Advil if my insurance won't pay for a root canal?
I got this tiny itsy bitsy keyboard. It was a cheap keyboard and it is a tad too small. I can sort of type on it. My hands are small but this is a tad smaller.
Is the kitchen free? I want lunch. Two cookies are not lunch.
complaint: Four of the last seven days have had highs near 90 F. The day's lowest temeperature when Little Dude and I went walking near dawn was above the average high for a normal year. I should not have to be running my A/C this much in the first week of October. I should be running the stinking heater, but I only needed to turn it on briefly for one morning about a month ago. I'm ready for sweaters and apple crisp weather. This is not sweaters and apple crisp weather.
non-complaint: Maybe it'll take longer before it gets too cold/snowy/icy to go out on walks? That'd be nice... and we've transitioned to the wagon, now, so it might take longer for things to get impassible (better clearance than the stroller, better wheels, lower center of gravity so I don't almost tip the blasted thing over trying to push it through slush mounds). Whoever invented stroller wagons needs to be given a lifetime supply of their favorite dessert. That thing is a game-changer.
non-complaint: Little Dude has thoroughly adopted his new shoes after the initial reluctance/fuss. I guess when they have not yet been on his feet, they are Not His Shoes, but once he's worn them once and his feet haven't dissolved on contact, they're acceptable. Good thing, too, since the other ones were getting tight. Also, yay that more companies are making kid shoes in his size with alternate (Velcro) closures instead of just lace-ties. Accessability aids for the win. (They're fabulous shoes, too -- I got really colorful, sparkly ones from the "girl" section because I figured they'd gain more favor.)
Ordered some wings for Halloween. Hope they are more comfortable than dollar tree ones.
My wings came in today. I will try to get pictures of them on me sometime eventually. Maybe tomorrow?
Not really a coplaint more of a puzzlement ,My D-L ,is questioning why I don't sell my 3D figures to make money ,and she either just doesn't understand the whole "they aren't my figures to sell" or why I don't just make my own figures so I can sell them ,and isn't it enough you change the figures to look different ,then you can sell them . I've tried to explain the whole ,licsencing thing ,which again she doesn't get ,she wants me to animation programs ,and tells me they look easy ,she tells me just do a UTube search and learn it .She actually got upset when I said I was more into making textures for things ,but stopped because I couldn't figure out iRay settings ,but I had made skins and poses and given them away for free , oh that bothered her that someone might use one of my freebies and make money off it ........I told her I was flattered if they did . I do this to keep my brain active ,and cause I enjoy it ,not really motivated to make money off it ...
How do you explain what DAZ Studio is to people who don't have a clue?
@carrie58, from the sound of it, it is not just someone who doesn't understand what DAZ Studio is but also someone who thinks everything has to make money to have worth. Trying to explain legalities and how the joy you receive is worth the effort you put into your project to someone who only considers a monetary payback regardless of the legal compact you have with Daz is an impossible task.
Complaint: @SilverGirl Summer is over staying its welcome here as well but not as bad. Although in fairness, it was late arriving this year & the temps cooled a bit the past month, but still above average; enough that our latest power bill is $20-ish lower than the previous one. (Probably because we can turn AC off/very low at night.) Don't be surprised if my next weather complaint is very different because Arkansas weather is Chaotic Evil & can change in well under 30 minutes.
Mixed message: Due to slightly cooler temperatures, walking the puppers is more pleasant. I wish my arthritis hadn't chosen now to flare up so I could take Gilly on some longer treks that Bear is too old for.
I think you are right ,it's just so frustrating . Thank you for your comment though .

^My cat's butt seems to have a complaint ^^'
Complaint: A cold is the last thing I need right now. I've got an operation later in the month. I've been on the waiting list for over a year, and I want it out of the way.
The doors are locked, and I'm still on edge.
I don't know what to eat...
Still no Quick-Grab
@carrie58 I agree with @memcneil70 - I think it's an overall view and values issue. I've run into far too many non-artsy people who have this idea that not only is art easy to make/learn (although you'd never catch THEM putting in the effort!), but that the second you make it you will be instantly wealthy because everyone will buy it. It's super prevalent attitude in the literary world as well. Spoiler alert: just because Stephen King went from rags to riches doesn't mean it's going to happen to everyone. If it did, it wouldn't be so remarkable.
non-complaint: 47 F for our walk this morning... that's more like it!!
complaint: Little dude is in the process of losing another tooth. His mouth is a sensory nightmare from which he cannot escape. Rough day. Poor kiddo.
Can you get little dude to chew on a frozen wash cloth? Wet it with water or fruit juice and freeze it , let him chew on it it will sooth his gums and help loosen the tooth ......just a thought
It's finally up!!
Decided to do something different for breakfast! Pancakes!
It's the first time I haven't had anything from my wishlist included in the sale. Still found of things to purchase, though ^^'
I keep misreading this thread's title as
'Scream Until You Like It' (Oh dear, it's a WASP, song from 1987).
Regards,
Richard.
Non-complaint: Two mini-adventures this week already. Yesterday (Monday) was a trip to the hospital for an ultrasound (I've got a lump in my left pec that is "probably benign" but needed to be examined). Had breakfast beforehand at the little diner next to the hospital. I tried their version of an egg-McMuffin, and it was vastly superior to McDonalds.
Then a short Uber to the nearby bank for some cash, and then continue the uber to home. Short mini-adventure.
Today was a planned breakfast outing with my symphony buddy. We joined the rest of the ancient persons at the local Bob Evans, where I had their wonderful Biscuit & Sausage Gravy.
Such a big bowl of gravy that I had to order two more biscuits to bring home with me. Mmmm... warmed-over biscuit & gravy.
Confirmed with symphony buddy our trip to Erie, Pennsylvania for a symphony on the 25th. Symphony buddy is not doing so well, he's still adjusting to a heart pacemaker implant. My turn may come sooner than I want.
I also had my symphony buddy stop at the local trash transfer station to drop off some dead small appliances and a big box of disassembled cardboard boxes. And I dropped off some old (way to big for me) clothing at a donation box.
Yay, I have more room in my apartment again.
And I had him stop at a grocery store where I got a bag of potatoes and some fresh fruit and salad greens. All in all, a good week so far. Weather getting cold now. Changing leaves are looking beautiful. Mid-October.
I went to the big mall in Raleigh. I had several coupons I could use there. I got my shopping done. I also put in an application at Hallmark. I got a 99 cent birthday card for my boyfriend whose birthday is this Thursday.
I went to CVS to pick up a poster and put money on my Cash App. I wanted to get a phone case during the prime sale at Amazon.
I did check if Best Buy had any phone cases but they only had one that fit my phone. I didn't want it. At least I found a great wallet case at Amazon part of their prime sale.
Complaint: I bought a decorative metal sun that says its 17.5 inches across. The box came but it was only 7 inches square, which blew my mind. Then I opened the box and found the sun was in 6 pieces which had to be put together with screws and metal tabs.

AND THE RESULT:
I think it was worthwhile.
@daveso I assume the complaint was you had to put it together &/or lack of a "some assembly required" notice? Because it looks lovely.
