Question about NVIDIA 50 Series GPUs, for folks using a 50 series GPU
Hi there,
I'm aware that 50 series GPUs don't work on Daz 4, and I'm also aware that lots of scripts don't work on the Alpha because it's an Alpha and so the scripting isn't stable enough for vendors to update yet.
I use a lot of products that need scripting in my workflow, so I wanted to ask: if I got a 50 series GPU, am I right in thinking that I'd be able to use Daz 4+ to do the actual work (posing, lighting, etc) running off CPU rendering, and then just open it in the Alpha to render things.
I'm especially interested in thoughts from people currently using a 50 series GPU and what their experiences are.

Comments
I can't comment on 50xx cards performances, but yes you should be able to work on your scene in 4.x and then render it using the alpha.
Some features might need to be "baked" first - e.g. any adjustments made with Mesh Grabber or, currently, Geometry Sculptor would need turning into morphs or base shape changes as the live modifiers would not export.
Thanks both - that makes sense. I'll have a look at what baking might look like (I looked at it ages ago when I first got into Daz but then never looked at it again.)
