iray renders white background instead of HDRi image

I've looked at all the settings and cant find the one that returns rendering to HDRi. Anyone had this issue before?

Is Draw Dome on and lighting set to Done only or Dome and Scene under Environment in Render Settings?
It's possible that you have a backround in the environment tab set. You can go to the Window -> Panes (Tabs) -> Environment and make sure Type is set to "None" and not "Backdrop".
If it's set to "backdrop" it will either be a flat color /(default is white) if no image is selected or it will be whatever image is selected. I think this overrides even the "Draw Dome" setting. I use it with backdrop set to a picture sometimes so I can get get a composite image like this. The HDRI doesn't show up in the render but it does light the scene. Shadows still render on the floor correctly, nice shortcut for some renders.
