How to enlarge Content Library Thumbnails?

Hoe can I enlarge the thumbnails when browings the various categoris?

For example I love the "April Showers" pose items. But for my 71 year old eyes they are too small and I can hardly discern what the poses are supposed to look like afer much gnashing of teeth, squiting and shouting out nasty dirty words!

For the record, I think these "April Showers" poses are some of the very best and I think highly of them.

I am hoping there is a simple fix that I have looked for but overlooked.

Sorry let me clarify, when I posted earlier I was having weird issues on the forum.

When I hover the mouse over the thumbnail for a few seconds, I get an another thumbnail with more information but it is the exact same size as the original thumbnail, not larger or smaller.

Where can I find the setting to enlarge the thumbnail or does not Daz take into consideration older people or those with vision issues? Surely they would as do most popular apps.

The  tip image, if one exists (filename.tip.png) is what apears in the pop-up - it can be 256 pixels square, but only if present; if there is no tip the regular thumbnail is sued, which is 91 pixels square. You could, of course, make your own  tip files, or a script could probably automate it to an extent - not sure how much this one will help in this regard https://www.daz3d.com/thumbnail-mastery .

I use Icon Creator Pro to create thumbnails and tip files when necessary. It is more modern than Thumbnail Mastery.

Thanks for the tip, But why would I need to create thumbnails for products I've purchased?

I can resize the icons in Photoshops workspace or Blenders without going through some sort of chicanery!

And with all the DAZ assets I have, I would be spending all my time in DAZ fixing an issue either vendor of the asset should have or more likely there should be a preference or function like in Photoshop or Blender.

Sorry but your solution is not acceptable nor is is it doable for me.

With a script you would, at worst, need to seelct a folder and tell it to do its thing (if theer wasn't already a tip file) - you could ave running it until you actually needed to browse the folder.

Sorry Richard, I understand you are trying to assist me. But I am unaware of any script I am supposed to run before browsing my content library. And if a script must be run each time why is this feature not automated by Staz Studio?

Again this feature is built into Blender, Photoshop, and many other apps.

Does not DAZ take into consideration of older users or some that may have vision issues?

On todays computers we run at resolotions much higher than the old VGA and SVGA standards.

This is something that should be fixed via a future update.

Perhaps fix the existing issues before enabling newer features.

    Cheers

    Kenmo

A script to create suitable images, again I don't know if the product I linked in my previous post would do the job. Once generated you wouldn't need to do it again.

Sorry but I thought your link was a practical joke cause this is what shows up when I click it.

And you are missing the point. Everyone is suggesting I need an aftermarket script or something to fix a problem that is inherent in DAZStudio AND other programs have the ability within the app to resolve the issue.

I truly wish there was another forum somewhere where DAZ issues where taken more seriously and would stop suggesting we purchase an item they sell to resolve a problem within their app.

I think I will refrain from posting any more issues on DAZ.

DAZ MUST make their program that makes it difficult for anyone who has vision issues to use. PERIOD. END of DISCUSION!

Now I am done with asking any more questions or concerns here.

Arrgh, sorry. Edit: it really didn't like the closing parenthesis, I had to rephrase to get rid of the parentheses before iit would stop adding the additional characters

Kindly knock it off. I asked a simple question. I did not ask for product recommendations.

This is an issue users with vision issues will encounter.

And better yet, moderators kindly LOCK this thread.

As I said prior whenever I ask a question here, it always seems to get derailed with these off topic responses.

    Now close this thread.

    Regards

    A truly frustrated Kenmo...

Thumbnails are usually created by the product vendor. The two thumbnails may not have always been the case (I can't remember). It could be that older products only had one 91x91 thumbnail, and it appears that the April Showers pose product was released for Genesis 1 which was released in 2011. That may; have been DAZ Studio 1  or 2 days, which may not have supported the bigger thumbs.

But nowadays there can be two thumbnails for each product. The regular one is 91 x 91. Then there is a "tip" thumbnail that can be up to 256 pixels square, so you will see a larger thumbnail if you hover over it with your mouse. If the product does not have a tip thumbnail it will use the normal 91x91 one instead.

I do 512 pixel square tip images for myself. With my current screen, that's a high enough resolution for about 3.5" square tip images, and is usually big and detailed enough to be useful on a 24"/ 1920*1080 resolution monitor. The size might be a bit on the small side for a 30" 4k screen. Regards, Richard.

FYI Richard, tips can be any size you want now, which is great for people like me.
