How to make dforce hair start above the body?

I have a few hair products that when starting the sim, puffs out and starts simulating above the body and falls naturally.  There are other dforce hairs that intersect the character when put on and have no controls to move the hair so when simulating, the intersecting hair does not move and stays "caught".  How do you guys work with these hair products?  No morphs or styles to work with.  One erxample is dForce Megan straight hair.

    Hello there,

could you please post screenshots of the issue?

In general, before running a dhair simulation, you want to make sure the hair does not intersect with the figure or you want to at least minimize the intersection as much as possible.

That can usually be achieved by posing the hair if it has custom bones attached to different parts of the hair or by using included movement morphs.

In the product description for the hair you mentioned, it says -  ' Megan Straight Hair comes with attached bones for precise manual posing, allowing full control over movement and shape. '

So you should pose the hair first, then you run a simulation.

You can check out my youtube channel where I demonstrate how that can be done with my products to get the idea. Link is down below.

    Hope this helps!
