Daz studio 4.24.0.3 does not detect Premier, for example "Aiko 9" fails to load

Daz studio 4.24.0.3 does not detect Premier, as a consequence the premier content does not load, for example product "Aiko 9" fails to load.

This worked fine in Daz Studio 4.23 but after the upgrade to 4.24 I have this problem detecting "Premier".

The premier plugins E.g. "Geometry Sculptor" do load ok and can be used. They get an expiration date though, but this expiration date shifts automatically further up to a more future date, so in practice the premier plugins do not expire.

For my DAZ account, DIM knows about Premier, the premier plugins work fine, the DAZ store gives me the Premier benefits. Only Daz Studio 4.24.0.3 does not always detect "Premier" and because of that the Premier content cannot be used at that time.

As a workaround I deinstall/reinstall Daz Studio 4.24 and the premier plugins. Sometimes the workaround solves the problem and sometimes it does not. I have to try several times before it works. It is really unpredictable if the workaround will solve the issue.

I have a lot of products installed in the CMS and so there is some delay between the display of the splash screen (that shows or does not show "Premier") and the Daz account connect dialogue screen (the screen to go "Online"). Could the problem be related with this long delay?

Is it possible to add an extra check in Daz studio 4.24 to detect "Premier"? A check that works similar like the check that finds out that I have a Premier subscription in the DAZ store for example? And that enables "Premier" in Daz Studio when it was not detected automaticaly?

Is the option to update metadata checked in the Login dialogue?

  • Hello Richard,

The option to update metadata is indeed checked.

  • I made a  support request in Daz Help Center and got this response from Daz Technical Support:

"In order to access the Premier plugins, you must log in within the DS application you want to use weekly. To do this, go to the Smart Content tab and hit the Login button at the top. Once this is done, it should prompt you to restart the application to activate the plugins. If you set it to automatically login, it will keep you connected with the premier plugins."

So I did following actions and "Premier" was shown again.

    - Start Daz Studio
    - Menu Edit => Preferences => Startup tab:
De-select "Automatic Login With Remembered Credentials"
    - Stop Daz Studio, start Daz Studio
=> Splash screen shows "Premier", ok!
    - Smart content => "Login" button
    Connect to Daz Account
    - Menu Help => About Installed Plugins
Premier plugins have a newer expiration date

Test loading product "Aiko 9" works ok, test successfull.

Hmm, it shouldn't - I would have thought - matter whether you log in manually or automatically. May be worth querying that, in case you have  run into some kind of bug.
